Born on a crisp March day in Chennai, Aamil entered the world just as Summer was tightening its grip to Maqblool and Anoosha. Perhaps that's why he has always carried a quiet warmth about him, the kind of calm that makes you wonder if he's deep in thought or just thinking about lunch., With no siblings to share the spotlight, or the blame, he became the sole focus of his parents' attention, hopes, and occasionally, their gentle nagging. Maqbool, a practical man who believed duct tape fixes everything, taught him how to be handy, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to nod along when someone else is talking (a skill that would prove invaluable when he met Salma). Anoosha, a woman who believed a well-timed cup of tea fixes everything else, taught him patience, kindness, and the secret to the perfect brew.
Being an only child came with its quirks. Aamil learned to entertain himself—hence the harmonica, the hiking, and the questionable dance moves. He also learned to be fiercely independent, comfortable in his own company, and perhaps a little too good at having the last word in arguments with his parents (a skill Salma would later match and surpass). After graduation, Aamil's career took him places, literally. He joined Zoho Corporation, the global technology giant, and quickly made a name for himself as someone who could solve problems, build relationships, and keep his cool in the most high-pressure situations. His work eventually took him to the Zoho UK office, where he now manages international business operations and travels extensively to meet clients and partners across the globe.
His recent visit to Tokyo was a highlight, a whirlwind trip of meetings, ramen, and accidentally bowing to vending machines. His clients will tell you he's reliable, thoughtful, and somehow always available despite being in a different time zone. And his parents? They just track his flights and pray he remembers to eat properly. When he's not jet-setting for Zoho, Aamil is still the same quiet, steady soul who grew up in Chennai, just with a few more air miles and a much better chai recipe.

Petrol runs through his veins. He's a Formula 1 fanatic who can name every driver, team, and tyre compound. He even started a car detailing shop because he believes every car deserves to shine like it just left the showroom. Salma asked if he loved cars more than her. He wisely declined to answer.
His custom-built PC is his sanctuary. He's a dedicated gamer who spends hours in first-person shooters and strategy games, often with friends scattered across the globe. His victory celebrations are loud. His defeat rants are louder.
Work takes him across the world, Tokyo, London, and beyond. His Instagram is a mix of city skylines, mountain peaks, and stray cats he befriended along the way. His captions are almost philosophical. Or just jet-lagged. Hard to tell.
Air Fryer, his secret weapon in the UK. He learnt from Anoosha, perfected it in Chennai, and now survives on air-fried everything. His colleagues have benefited. His neighbours have asked for recipes. Soon, Salma will join him—and she's already warned him she's bringing her own baking trays.
